Job Summary
This position is looking for a Commercial Finance Sr. Analyst or Assistant Manager to ensure all the latest sales policies of each customer for trade terms and promotions are properly managed in the rebate system, support actual sell-out promotion, trade marketing and sales commission expense management, and review and track brand marketing activity progress and expense status to ensure brand marketing expenses are timely settled and accrued.
Successful candidates will offer an analytical mindset, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style by partnering with PP&T team, Product Marketing team, Sales Team and Brand Marketing Team.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Develop sound financial assessments of new sales contracts to ensure financial risks are properly recognized and addressed.
- Set up and maintain all the latest sales policies of each customer for trade terms and promotions to ensure it is the most up-to-date and accurately maintained in the rebate system as per the customer agreement and value chain.
- Reconcile actual sell-out promotion and trade marketing expense deductions based on value plan and promotion plan of major customers.
- Sales Agent commission management based on paid invoice list from prior month.
- Buying Group commission management based on net sales and contract criteria.
- Promo / Accrual Tracker – Generate a file for monthly close and manage PD promo Funding accrual / placeholder.
- Review and track brand marketing activity progress and expense status to ensure brand marketing expenses are timely settled and accrued.
- Work with the relevant functions to ensure that there is a robust commercial process in related finance areas in place to achieve financial targets.
- Take initiatives to review the existing processes and support internal/external analyses and actions for improvement.
- Closely track and measure achieved initiatives to ensure initiatives are on track.
- Special projects and ad hoc analyses as required by senior management team.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years in customer program management, with a pricing, promotion and marketing background.
- Basic corporate accounting knowledge is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Work experience in the home appliances industry is preferred.
- Highly analytical, with strong data management skills and problem-solving aptitude.
- Must be highly detail oriented and extremely organized.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - particularly Excel, Excellent communication skills.(must)
- Ability to effectively work on multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Self-directed, work well independently and in team environment.
- Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence and support at all levels.
- Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement and driving financial performance.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Desire to consistently exceed expectations and take on more responsibilities.
- Confortable attending offices 4 days onsite, Friday remote
