Job Summary:

Midea, a global leader in home appliances, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Regional Sales to lead and expand our market presence in the independent retail channel.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of regional sales managers that are responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, signing new dealers, managing current dealer relationships, and driving overall business growth within the regional sales channel. The role requires a candidate that is a builder of teams. This role will need to drive significant growth for Midea in the independent retail channel.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong team leadership skills, a deep understanding of the home appliances market, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets, market share growth, and profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team of regional sales managers. Provide coaching and support to ensure individual and team success.
  • Market Analysis: Identify opportunities for growth, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Use to inform sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, both new and existing. Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior management. Use data-driven insights to refine sales strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and logistics, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with company goals.
  • Brand Representation: Represent Midea at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings. Promote the brand’s values, products, and services to enhance brand awareness and reputation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the home appliances industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a regional or national capacity.
  • Strong understanding of the home appliances market, including trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently.
