Job Summary

To continually strengthen its base and support its growth in the US, Midea Water Heater Division is extending its Research and Innovation capabilities. We are seeking a Junior Product Development Engineer to join our R&D Center located in Louisville, Kentucky.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Taking a comprehensive responsibility for gas water heater products and technology development.
  • Formulate relevant technical plans based on market and customer insights as well as finding forward-looking technologies for future platforms.
  • Drive continuous product and cost improvements.
  • Analyze and improve on quality issues, aiming to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction continuously.
  • Gather, interpret, and internalize relevant product policies and regulations ensuring product compliance.

Qualifications

  • Hold a mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree or higher or relevant field.
  • Have experience in areas such as combustion and heat transfer.
  • 1+ years of work experience in product development of gas water heaters or related fields.
  • Have experience with development of burners, premixed gas, and/or instantaneous combustion systems or related fields.
  • Familiarity with interpreting and implementing design requirements for industry standards.
  • Possess strong organizational and coordination skills, demonstrate a strong service orientation, teamwork spirit, and a high level of execution capability.
  • Have independently led development projects from project initiation to market launch.
